Dr. MacRae earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025 and is currently completing her veterinary acupuncture certification through Chi University. After graduation, she practiced small animal medicine at a general practice and urgent care hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area before returning home to IVWC—a place that has been part of her journey since she first joined the team in 2014.
Passionate about whole-body wellness, Dr. MacRae believes the best healing comes from the synergy of conventional and integrative approaches. While in California, she pursued additional training in microbiome restorative therapy and medical ozone therapy, expanding the tools she can offer patients. She especially enjoys partnering with families to create individualized treatment plans that support each pet’s unique needs, with a focus on improving health span.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Dr. MacRae with a good book, exploring new corners of the world, taking walks with her cat, Eddie, or embracing playful adventures with her two nieces. She believes curiosity, connection, and joy are just as important outside the exam room as they are within it.
