I brought my 3 working dogs in for exams, vaccines and health issue checks. My first 2 are great with everyone and the staff did great with listening to my concerns and answering all my questions. Eris and D liked the attention as well even if they got a poke. My other dog I was expecting lots of reactions and a pretty stressful visit as they usually are with previous vets. She was tail wagging walking in with minimal growling. Staff did great about ignoring her and following my direction when reading her body language. She was muzzled for everyone’s safety but took minimal effort to vet hold her for a blood draw which is unheard of for her. She took treats before and after her visit and was tail wagging walking out. It was probably the best vet experience she’s ever had and I can’t imagine taking her anywhere else after having such a positive experience here.

We are SO happy with the professional & friendliness

We just moved to the lower Beaver area and where worried about finding another Veterinarian as caring & loving as our last for our 2-little dogs & a cat. Well, We found one! We are SO happy with the professional & friendliness of the staff at Iowa Veterinarian Wellness. Leo, one our Miniature dachshund mix, recently had an eye injury & the staff treated Leo as if he was one of their pets. Their working with us to get Leo’s eye better… Thank you all for your TLC you have given Leo, let’s hope we don’t have to go through this again!

I would give 20 stars to this office!

Absolutely love this place and everyone who works there! I drive approx. a half hour each way to bring my pets there. My GSD goes willingly inside, usually grabs a toy to play with. At my former vets office he would climb the windows trying to get out! I would drive hours each way just for that reaction! Going to the Vet is no longer a traumatic experience! My foster Great Dane, who was sedated and muzzled by her owner for vet visits no longer needs either done when she visits here!

This is the best vet office I’ve been to since moving to the Des Moines metro area.

They have a different mindset of our pets health and I would love nothing more than to continue as a client with my pet in their capable hands.

Within weeks he was back to running

This is my second pet to visit the Iowa Veterinary Wellness Center. My first, a Chihuahua, had severe back issues and a broken rib. I was referred to this clinic from my Vet, at the time, in Adel. I drove the 30 some miles to see this Vet. Dr. Wilke prescribed natural anti-inflammatories for her and started an electronic acupuncture regimen. Within 2 weeks, my sweet girl was living life to the full, once again. She lived for another 3 years to the age of nearly 14. My current fur love is my daughters dog (he says he belongs to me ha!) and was seeing another vet, also, when he had a knee/leg injury. I immediately took him to Dr. Wilke! He could barely use the leg before seeing this Doctor. Within weeks he was back to running Zoomies with a much less invasive treatment than was prescribed by his original vet. Our boy, now sees Dr. Wilke for all his veterinary needs! He’s had bad reactions to his yearly immunizations in the past so Dr. Wilke was proactive in avoiding this. We had his yearly physical last week and he did awesome with the immunization regimen! Fortunately this office is now close to where I live, but I would recommend driving the distance to come to this clinic!!!

Absolutely love this team of professionals! I have a German Shepherd and she literally starts whining with excitement three blocks out from their office everytime we visit. She loves their team and has been very well cared for, from check-in to check-out. Her breed prone to some issues and they’ve all been addressed in short order.

This office is staffed by lovely people.

The Drs are helpful & respect my decisions for care of my guys. The heart-breaking decision to put our border collie down was dealt with by all staff so sweetly. Jake was well known because we always brought his ball with us…. Thank you to everyone at the clinic.
