Dr. Jill Rhoden graduated from Iowa State University , College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She practiced small animal medicine in Des Moines for 10 years, before starting her own small animal veterinary relief service to allow her to spend more time with her son.
Dr. Rhoden has provided relief services to many practices over the years, allowing their veterinarians time off for vacation, continuing education, etc. She started working with Iowa Veterinary Wellness in 2015. She now works there weekly and absolutely adores their clients, patients and staff. Her special areas of interest are dermatology/allergies, feline medicine and behavior. She can relate well to both as she is allergic to everything (including her beloved patients) and proudly considers herself a crazy cat lady. She enjoys traveling for continuing education to update her knowledge base and skills to provide her patients the best care available.
Dr. Rhoden enjoys spending time with her partner Arron and their 2 teenage sons. Their zoo is completed by their 2 dogs, Star and Layla, as well as their 4 cats Milo, Max, Tucker and Declan. Her hobbies include reading, swimming and cooking. She is also passionate about doing free vaccine clinics for the ARL with her family to help support the human-animal bond for everyone.
